Research Team

Dr Arun Sukumar is an Associate Professor at the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University. He is an active researcher and his principal research interests are in the field of digital entrepreneurship and social enterprise. Arun has worked extensively with partners in UK, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Africa to examine tech start-up ecosystems. He is also involved in the development of trans-national education programs aimed at undergraduate, masters and doctoral students. He has delivered workshops, seminars and knowledge exchange programs on internationalisation of entrepreneurship education and in development and delivery of blended teaching programs to international audience. He is a fellow of RSA, HE and member of ISBE.

I’m Dom. I was born in London, but I’ve moved around a lot and have lived and worked in the UK, Italy, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Right now I’m a research fellow at Coventry University and I’m enjoying living in the countryside outside the city. My research is primarily in education with a focus student and teacher development.

I’m working with colleagues from Indonesia as part of DICE. I think it’s a really interesting and valuable project and I expect it to be transformational for the community. I’ve travelled a bit in Indonesia, most notably for me a trek up Mt Rinjani with a torn ACL. The travel guide told me it would be easy. It wasn’t!

Dr Oksana Malynka is an Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical Oil and Gas University, Ukraine.

Oksana is an expert in marketing, marketing management and brand management, recently involved in the projects on the creative economy and entrepreneurship. Her publications on creating and developing a brand were considered for the Strategy 2020 of Ivano-Frankivsk (Western Ukraine), during the development of the city brand and the brand strategy of the touristic Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Oksana is an expert trainer in business literacy including working on innovative international consultancy training and research. She is a key contributor to the creative economy British Council Creative Spark project, the House of Europe Digital Labs project and the Norwegian government funded project for Ukrainian military veterans.

Oksana’s current work includes developing an online creative entrepreneurship course. Besides, she is a freelance translator (Ukrainian – English – Russian). She speaks five languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English – fluent; French – reading, writing, speaking with a vocabulary; German – basics.

An assistant professor at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo who extremely concern about Instructional Technology on Early Childhood Development. Fadhli has co-authored a number of research papers and have articles published in various journals.

This Current Project is ACES (A- Community-Centered Educational Model for Developing Social Resilience through Play. The ACES project, funded by the UKRI-ESRC under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), is building on the empathic and inclusive playful and gameful research and practice of Coventry University’s award-winning GameChangers initiative and its sister initiative – CreativeCulture in Malaysia. In the ACES project, we are investigating the impact of transformative education through playful approaches and experiences towards developing social resilience, targeting young people in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

The second project is DICE is a global programme that imagines and activates new forms of cultural and economic agency. DICE does so by placing creativity, experimentation, co-design, social purpose, action research, and international connection at the heart of its work, the theme of our project is “The awakening batik ciprat in Karangpatihan Ponorogo”.
