Richard Tomlins

“Richard Tomlins is Assistant Professor, International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University and active in the creative economy, social enterprise and related sectors in Coventry through the University’s civic anchor activities as well as globally and most recently in Brasil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Ukraine and Vietnam.

At the core of these interventions is his work around the social value that enterprises can develop, manage and scale for example through his Social Value Today http://www.socialvalueuk.org/resource/social-value-today-current-public-and-private-thinking-on-social-value/

Richard’s wider interest in playful and disruptive methodologies includes LEGO Serious Play, “LEGO-A-GO-GO”, Sprint, Nudge and mentoring card exercises. These themes also feature in his Latin American work in Brasil and in Mexico City with Anahuac University and La Salle University as well as in Mérida, Yucatán with Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana.

Richard is at present “playing” in Ukraine as part of British Council Creative Spark Year 3 as well as DICE Digital in Indonesia and as part of Coventry UK City of Culture 2021.”

Arun Sukumar

Dr Arun Sukumar is an Associate Professor at the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University. He is an active researcher and his principal research interests are in the field of digital entrepreneurship and social enterprise. Arun has worked extensively with partners in UK, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Africa to examine tech start-up ecosystems. He is also involved in the development of trans-national education programs aimed at undergraduate, masters and doctoral students. He has delivered workshops, seminars and knowledge exchange programs on internationalisation of entrepreneurship education and in development and delivery of blended teaching programs to international audience. He is a fellow of RSA, HE and member of ISBE.

Elisha Marie Worley

“Elle is due to graduate in 2021 with a Degree in Applied Psychology. During her time as a student she has been involved in research on gender equality, and the exploration of social prescribing.

She has a strong interest in tackling societal inequalities with a wider interest into understanding the impact of prejudice and unconscious bias. This has led to her being a diversity and inclusion champion within the police workforce working on diversity and inclusion initiatives with the most recent being centred around the awareness of invisible disabilities”

Dominic Mahon

I’m Dom. I was born in London, but I’ve moved around a lot and have lived and worked in the UK, Italy, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Right now I’m a research fellow at Coventry University and I’m enjoying living in the countryside outside the city. My research is primarily in education with a focus student and teacher development.

I’m working with colleagues from Indonesia as part of DICE. I think it’s a really interesting and valuable project and I expect it to be transformational for the community. I’ve travelled a bit in Indonesia, most notably for me a trek up Mt Rinjani with a torn ACL. The travel guide told me it would be easy. It wasn’t!

Oksana Malynka

Dr Oksana Malynka is an Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical Oil and Gas University, Ukraine.

Oksana is an expert in marketing, marketing management and brand management, recently involved in the projects on the creative economy and entrepreneurship. Her publications on creating and developing a brand were considered for the Strategy 2020 of Ivano-Frankivsk (Western Ukraine), during the development of the city brand and the brand strategy of the touristic Ivano-Frankivsk region.

 

Oksana is an expert trainer in business literacy including working on innovative international consultancy training and research. She is a key contributor to the creative economy British Council Creative Spark project, the House of Europe Digital Labs project and the Norwegian government funded project for Ukrainian military veterans.

Oksana’s current work includes developing an online creative entrepreneurship course. Besides, she is a freelance translator (Ukrainian – English – Russian). She speaks five languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English – fluent; French – reading, writing, speaking with a vocabulary; German – basics.

Muhibuddin Fadhli

An assistant professor at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo who extremely concern about Instructional Technology on Early Childhood Development. Fadhli has co-authored a number of research papers and have articles published in various journals.

This Current Project is ACES (A- Community-Centered Educational Model for Developing Social Resilience through Play. The ACES project, funded by the UKRI-ESRC under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), is building on the empathic and inclusive playful and gameful research and practice of Coventry University’s award-winning GameChangers initiative and its sister initiative – CreativeCulture in Malaysia. In the ACES project, we are investigating the impact of transformative education through playful approaches and experiences towards developing social resilience, targeting young people in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

The second project is DICE is a global programme that imagines and activates new forms of cultural and economic agency. DICE does so by placing creativity, experimentation, co-design, social purpose, action research, and international connection at the heart of its work, the theme of our project is “The awakening batik ciprat in Karangpatihan Ponorogo”.

Rochmat Aldy Purnomo

Aldy is researcher in Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo and Rumah Harapan who extremely concern about applied economy. Aldy has co-authored a number of research papers and have articles published in various journals.

Aldy is part of International Project in ACES (A- Community-Centered Educational Model for Developing Social Resilience through Play), which investigating the impact of transformative education through playful approaches and experiences towards developing social resilience, targeting young people in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Also, he has a economist which support global programme that imagines and activates new forms of cultural and economic agency, by placing creativity, experimentation, co-design, social purpose, action research, and international connection at the heart of its work, with his overseas partnership, such as Malaysia, Vietnam, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Deka Dyah Utami

Researcher at Rumah Harapan Mulya (Home of Hope), which is a voluntary community that assists and helps improve the welfare of disabled people in Ponorogo, East Java Province, Indonesia. In DICE project, we are collaborating with Coventry University in UK.

I graduated as doctor in the field of educational technology and currently work as a instructional designer on ACES international projects which is funded by UKRI-GCRF collaborate with UK, Malaysia and Vietnam. In DICE project, I take part as a curriculum designer and technology analyst that will be used by volunteers to support product marketing from disabled community.

Beyond that, I am an orchid lover and also a young mother of a cute daughter who suddenly appears on the screen during meetings. Maybe one of you has seen her? Glad to collaborate with all of you.
